Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit.
The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty.
The nurse will work days, with a shift length of 12 hours.
The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:12, utilizing a team nursing model.
On call and weekend work may be required as needed.
Candidates must be willing to accommodate scheduling needs during the interview.
Local candidates are not accepted due to strict distance requirements.
All candidates must meet compliance with applicable licensing guidelines.

This facility requires extensive experience, and first-time travelers are typically not successful here.
Candidates must have experience with surgical oncology patients, medical oncology overflow, and medical-surgical overflow.
Daily census ranges from 30 to 35 patients.
The unit employs an interdisciplinary support team that includes various health services.
Special procedures in this unit include wound care, managing drains, ostomy care, and Foley catheter placement.
Candidates should be comfortable administering chemotherapy only if they are Oncology Certified Nurses.
