Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical / Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty is required. Travel experience is required. Charge experience is preferred. Large hospital experience is required. Level I Trauma experience is required. License: Active RN license in the state or compact RN license that complies with NLC guidelines is required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Proven capability in starting and maintaining IVs. Experience with patient ratios of 1:6/7. Proficiency in charting systems, preferably Epic. Description: Seeking a registered nurse for a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit. The position requires working 4 shifts per week for 12 hours each day. This role utilizes a team nursing model, with a patient ratio of 1:12, effectively managing the workload between team members. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the specialty are strongly preferred. First-time travelers are not accepted unless they possess more than 5 years of experience in the specialty. Weekend availability is required as needed. All requested time off must be submitted during the application process. No exemptions for vaccination requirements will be made, specifically for the flu vaccine. The unit is equipped to care for adult and geriatric patients, specifically managing cardiac-related diagnoses. Experience with specific procedures and protocols is essential. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability to interdisciplinary support services available within the unit. This facility maintains strict compliance on submission requirements and qualifications.
