Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiovascular Medical Telemetry unit. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to patients with pulmonary and cardiac conditions.

Job Overview

Full-time positions available: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts on nights (7p-7a)
Weekend requirements: Every other weekend is mandatory
Orientation sessions held bi-weekly on Thursdays
Patient care focused with a ratio of 1:5

Unit Information

The unit specializes in pulmonary and cardiac care, with a total of 16 monitored pulmonary/card beds. This is a telemetry floor featuring centralized monitoring operated by a technician. The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of telemetry or cardiac nursing experience required
First-time travelers accepted if experience requirements are met
Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
West Virginia or compact RN license required (can submit with a pending RN license)

Job Responsibilities

Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients in a telemetry setting
Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
Coordinate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
Participate in patient education and support needs

Additional Information

Floating within scope may occur based on unit needs

Charting is performed using Cerner
