Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical skill set and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Caring for patients in Med/Surg and Telemetry units, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs and symptoms, and interpreting ECG rhythms.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Floating to designated units as needed to assist with care for the same patient population.
  • Completing necessary assessments and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Shifts:

This position is for rotating shifts, including night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM and day shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM. Schedules may vary based on the operational needs of the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele specialty.
  • Hold a current valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) are required.
  • Must work at least every other holiday as part of the commitment to patient care.
  • Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation is required.
