Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. Our objective is to deliver high-quality medical care to patients while ensuring optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with established protocols.
  • Operate within a self-scheduling framework while being flexible to adjust to team needs.
  • Float between medical-surgical units and telemetry as required.
  • Maintain patient safety and effective communication throughout the care process.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Shift Details

  • 12-hour shifts available from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM.
  • Work schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday.
  • Limit of three days of request time off (RTO) per scheduling period.

Patient Ratios

  • Medical-Surgical: 5:1 ratio during 7 AM to 11 PM; 6:1 ratio during 11 PM to 7 AM.
  • Telemetry: 4:1 ratio during 7 AM to 11 PM; 5:1 ratio during 11 PM to 7 AM.

Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
  • Experience in telemetry nursing is a plus.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to adapt to varying patient needs and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
