Description:
The Registered Nurse in this role will be responsible for providing patient care in a medical surgical/telemetry setting.
The nurse will manage and interpret dysrhythmias.
Remote monitoring of telemetry and participation in rapid response/code teams are required.
Experience with bowel obstructions and colostomy/ileostomy management is essential.
The candidate should provide care for feeding tubes and manage pre/post hemodialysis patients.
Blood product administration and central line blood draws are part of the responsibilities.
Peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and maintaining IVs will be performed.
The nurse should be proficient in managing heparin, insulin, and PCA medications.
Care for chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP management, and high flow nasal cannula administration is required.
Oral suctioning and oxygen administration skills are necessary.
Candidates must understand isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
Wound care and wound vac management are important responsibilities.
Preferred skills include experience with charge duties, ACLS certification, and telemetry monitoring.
Familiarity with post-angiogram, post-cardiac surgery, and post-MI care is advantageous.
Experience with IV insulin protocols, bariatric surgery, and continuous bladder irrigation is a plus.
The patient population includes individuals with various conditions such as diabetes, dementia, COVID-19, pneumonia, and more.
The nurse will work with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
Daily tasks may involve medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and patient education.
Candidates should be comfortable using electronic documentation systems.
Candidates must complete any required testing prior to start.
