Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract, with a possible extension. This position offers the opportunity to work nights, providing essential care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.

Scheduling & Shifts

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Available on weekdays and weekends.
• Note: Blocked schedules are not guaranteed but attempts will be made to accommodate requests.

Job Responsibilities

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
• Monitoring patient conditions and implementing care plans.
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educating patients and their families regarding care, medications, and health management.
• Adhering to established protocols, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Current RN License required.
• Certifications: BCLS, NIH, ACLS are mandatory.
• Experience in using Cerner EMR is preferred.

Patient Care Ratios

The typical nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1:5 to 1:7, ensuring a manageable workload that supports effective patient care.

Attendance Requirements

Please note that the organization maintains a clear attendance policy and allows for only 2-3 call-offs during the contract period.
