Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry care. The role involves working in an observation and inpatient unit with a fast patient turnover. The focus will be on patient acuity rather than continuity of care. Ideal nursing staffing is 5 nurses to 5 patients, with occasional variations in ratios. The unit fosters teamwork to combat burnout among staff. Cardiac experience is not a requirement; general medical-surgical and telemetry experience is sufficient. Block scheduling is available but not guaranteed. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. Floating to like units within scope of practice is required. Candidates must be flexible and willing to adapt to different unit needs. The patient population includes those experiencing chest pain, heart failure, and withdrawal. Travelers are accepted on this unit.
