Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN)

Position Overview

The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. This position emphasizes the care of adult and geriatric patients, requiring proficiency in various clinical skills.

Shift Information

  • Available Shifts: 3x12 or 4x12 Nights (specific shift preference to be discussed)
  • Block Scheduling Available

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
  • Monitor and administer medications, including IV drips such as cardizem, tridil, and amiodarone.
  • Maintain patient ratios of up to 1:6-7.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Document all patient interactions and care delivered in a clear and timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Alabama or a Compact License.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetery setting.
  • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS.
  • First-time travelers are welcome!

Additional Information

Travelers must be prepared to complete an application process and provide a comprehensive background check as part of the staffing requirements.

Note: Candidates living within a 90-mile radius of the facility are not eligible for this position.
