Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: 36 hours per week (12-hour rotating shifts: Nights 1900–0730 / Days 0700–1930; shifts may vary based on hospital operational needs).
- Contract Length: 13 to 18 weeks (winter coverage option available).
- Target Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Scheduling: Must work at least every other holiday. All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be discussed during the interview and included at submission.
Key Facility Policies & Compliance Rules
- Assessments & Orientation: ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate must be passed during orientation (max 2 attempts). 4 hours of pre-start modules are billable.
- Floating & Ventilators: Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED for the same patient population; possibility of taking patients on ventilators.
- Background & Licensing: Zero tolerance for open background cases or license hits. BCI/FBI fingerprints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
- Exemptions: Nurses and surgical technologists (CSTs) are temporarily exempt from the nicotine-free facility requirement.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in Med Surg/Tele required. Former permanent or per-diem Cleveland Clinic staff must observe a 1-year wait period.
- Licensure: Permanent Ohio (OH) RN license or compact state license in hand at submission.
- Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required in hand.
- References: Requires one professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty from the past 12 months (no co-worker references accepted).
