Experience: 4+ years of recent acute care experience; some experience in stepdown is needed for night shift. Must have 1 recent successful travel contract.
License: Valid nursing license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Must-Have:
- Ability to independently read telemetry strips and pass an on-site exam on Day 1 with an 84% or better (2 attempts).
- Strong adaptability to different units.
- Psych experience is highly preferred.
- Strongly prefer EPIC experience.
Description:
This position requires working in a MedSurg unit with a focus on orthopedics, urology, neurology, and gynecology.
The role involves providing care for patients in telemetry settings.
Average patient ratio is 5:1.
Candidates must be able to work nights and should expect to work most Fridays without specific schedule requests.
No extended requests for time off will be accommodated.
Experience in float nursing is preferred, with 5+ years being ideal.
