Telemetry remote monitoring experience is essential. Experience with rapid response and code teams is required. Management of bowel obstructions and colostomy/ileostomy care is expected. Feeding tube care and management are needed. Experience in pre/post hemodialysis management is necessary. Knowledge of renal failure is required. Blood product administration experience is needed. Central line blood draw skills are necessary. Experience in peripheral line care and management is required. Phlebotomy skills are essential. PICC line management experience is needed. Starting and maintaining IVs is a must. Experience with heparin and insulin administration is required. Knowledge of PCA administration is needed. Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac) is essential. BiPAP/CPAP management skills are required. Experience with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) is necessary. Nasal cannula administration experience is needed. Non-invasive airway management skills are required. Oral suctioning experience is essential. Oxygen administration and tank management skills are needed. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE is required. Wound care and wound vac experience is necessary. Preferred Skills: Charge nurse experience is preferred. ACLS certification is a plus. Telemetry monitoring experience on the unit is preferred. Experience with post-angiogram and post-cardiac surgery care is preferred. Knowledge of postoperative myocardial infarction care is a plus. IV insulin protocols experience is preferred. Bariatric surgery knowledge is a plus. Continuous bladder irrigation management skills are preferred. Experience with substance withdrawal is beneficial. Surgical drain management experience is required. Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) is preferred. Pre/post thoracic surgery care experience is beneficial. Tracheostomy care and management skills are preferred. Experience with electronic documentation is a plus. Community hospital experience is preferred. Patient Diagnoses: Candidates will encounter patients with conditions such as diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fracture, congestive heart failure, urinary tract infections, renal failure, hypertension, cellulitis, and various surgical recovery cases. Unit Systems: Familiarity with medication and documentation systems is required.
