Must be flexible to float to similar units as needed. Must be able to commit to working 3 of 5 holidays. Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the MS/Tele specialty. This role involves caring for patients with medical and surgical diagnoses. Expect to work in a Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model. For every patient, there is 1 bedside RN, 1 Virtual RN, and 1 CNA. The bedside RN and CNA patient ratios are 1:6. Virtual nurses handle admission questions, discharge education, care plans, and follow-ups with MDs. Patient diagnoses include surgical issues such as colorectal, urological, gynecological, and vascular, as well as medical conditions like cancer, lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. This position requires skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is necessary, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Travelers may be expected to float between facilities, and refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Candidates must provide references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
