The unit accepts first-time travelers and locals. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients and interpreting telemetry readings. They will manage patients with multiple diagnoses, including diabetes, dementia, and respiratory issues. The nurse will also participate in Rapid Response and Code situations when necessary. Patient care duties include managing IVs, administering medications, and performing necessary assessments. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The expected patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. This position requires the ability to float to other units as needed. The nurse will adhere to safety protocols and provide quality care in alignment with best practices. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. The nurse must be willing to work holidays as required.
