Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or a closely related specialty
- Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation with an acceptable score
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
- Must be available to work at least every other holiday
- COVID-19 and flu vaccine compliance required, with approved exemptions only if applicable
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and telemetry assessment skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for medical-surgical telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications, treatments, and ongoing nursing interventions per plan of care
- Assess patients, document findings, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Support patient mobility, recovery, and education throughout the care episode
- Maintain compliance with orientation requirements, testing, and facility standards
- Adapt to rotating schedules and support coverage needs as assigned
- Float to comparable units when needed to meet patient care demands
