- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: Day and night rotation; typically 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Floating: May float to similar patient care units as needed
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med-Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
- Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
- Willingness to work rotating days and nights, including every other holiday
- Must have required credentials active and available at the time of submission
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients in an acute care hospital
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient status, and respond appropriately
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Document care accurately and maintain a safe, efficient, and organized workflow
- Support a patient population that may require floating to similar units with the same level of care
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on quality, safety, and excellent patient care
