Job Description
We seeking an experienced Med/Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in an acute-care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong Med/Surg and Telemetry experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall clinical status.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly communicate concerns to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and telemetry observation.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, CNAs, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of CURRENT med surg/tele experience [required]
- CHARGE EXPERIENCE [REQUIRED] - Please note charge experience on profile
- Progressive Care Unit/PCU experience [Strongly REQUIRED]
- DRIP EXPERIENCE IS [REQUIRED
- ICU experience [strongly preferred]
- TRAVELER MUST BE WILLING TO FLOAT TO ANY INPATIENT UNIT WITHIN THEIR SCOPE OF PRACTICE
- MINIMUM 3 months previous travel experience [REQUIRED]
- Small critical access facility experience [preferred]
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
Required Certification- ACLS from AHA
- BLS from AHA
- Active RN State Licences of VT or compact
Med Ninjas Job ID #5920. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
