Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 1900 - 0730. Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need. Two weekends per six-week schedule period (additional weekends available upon request). 20 hours of orientation provided.

Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical or Telemetry specialty
- Epic charting experience required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- Must successfully pass telemetry exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria (100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% or higher overall score)
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Key Skills:
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- IV therapy including starting and maintaining peripheral lines, PICC line management, and central line blood draws
- Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
- Respiratory care including oxygen administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, and tracheostomy care
- Wound care and wound vac management
- Post-operative care for orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement, bariatric surgery, and neurosurgery patients
- Management of chest tubes, feeding tubes, colostomy/ileostomy care, and continuous bladder irrigation
- Experience with PCA pumps, Heparin and Insulin protocols
- Pre/post hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis management
