Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg

Shift Information

• Evening/Night shifts
• Three 12-hour shifts per week

Requirements

• Must possess an active Washington State or Compact RN Licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Adherence to organizational policies and unit standards is essential
• Knowledge of and compliance with the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care with compassion, utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice specific to the unit
• Develop, implement, and continuously reassess individualized patient care plans
• Provide nursing care, including medication administration and nursing procedures/treatments
• Evaluate the discharge plan's appropriateness while addressing educational needs and necessary adjustments
• Document care delivered, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Collect necessary patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Conduct holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond effectively
• Determine and execute appropriate nursing actions to meet the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients
• Educate patients, families, and significant others with relevant health information and provide written materials as needed
• Maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based practices
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Engage in performance evaluation and improvement activities with clinical leadership
• Communicate and collaborate with all healthcare team members effectively
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with policies

• May be required to float between various departments as needed
