Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role is for a charge nurse with significant experience in the Med-Surg and Telemetry specialties. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing nursing staff and coordinating patient care in a critical access hospital setting. The position requires a commitment to high standards of clinical care and the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and manage overall patient care delivery.
• Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Monitor patient conditions and implement appropriate care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as state regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide leadership and support to nursing staff during shifts.
• Float to the Emergency Department as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Prior charge nurse experience is essential.
• Experience working in a critical access hospital is highly preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association are required.

Work Schedule

This position includes three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7 PM to 7 AM, and requires working every other weekend.
