Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse, located in the healthcare facility, provides high-quality patient care across diverse adult patient populations including geriatric, medical/surgical, psychiatric, and telemetry units. This role involves supporting the unit during surge periods, self-studying telemetry strips, and passing a Basic Dysrhythmia test during orientation to ensure proficiency in telemetry monitoring.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid nursing license, ACLS certification, EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months, and 0 years of minimum experience.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, with an estimated work week of 36 hours, including every other weekend and holiday rotations.
- Position Responsibilities: Deliver care utilizing the nursing process, assess and monitor patients, and support unit operations during surge. Float to various non-critical inpatient units, behavioral health, emergency departments, and critical care units if preferred experience is held.
- Additional Requirements: Self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance, pass Basic Dysrhythmia test during orientation, and respond promptly to call-ins within one hour during low census periods.
