  • Position Description: These positions will support the unit during surge. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance, with a basic dysrhythmia test out given during orientation, which must be passed to work on the telemetry/med surg unit. The role involves delivering care utilizing the nursing process in coordination with other health team members, focusing on geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patient populations.
  • Certifications and Education Requirements: RN license/certification required. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Minimum one year of nursing experience in a relevant setting.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Estimated work week is 36 hours with the possibility of overtime. Every other holiday rotation is required.
  • Additional Information: Candidate may be required to float to additional campuses as needed. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census, with response expected within one hour. EMR experience with EPIC in a similar unit within the last 12 months is required. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips prior to starting. A basic dysrhythmia test out must be passed during orientation.
