Description:
Registered Nurse needed for a telemetry unit.
The unit specializes in cardiac care for adults and geriatrics.
Patient diagnoses include acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, congestive heart failure, and unstable arrhythmias.
The unit features a high turnaround with a mix of inpatient and observation patients.
Experience with managing various cardiac drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, and nitroglycerin is essential.
The nurse will typically care for five patients, with potential ratios of six to seven during staff shortages.
Weekend coverage is required.
Candidates should demonstrate proficient clinical skills and a strong ability to communicate effectively.
Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, as requests for time off during holidays should be limited.
Floating to other areas may be required based on facility needs.
