The unit manages CVA surgical patients and has a focus on observation with a high turnaround of 36 hours or less. You will be responsible for managing an average of 5 patients, with potential to adjust to 6 or 7 patients in certain situations. Experience with post-cardiac catheterization and post-angiogram PTCA is required. You will need proficiency in administering and monitoring required drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, and nitroglycerin. The ability to float to like units may be necessary. A positive attitude and a willingness to be part of a team are essential for success in this role. Requests for time off during major holidays will be limited. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend.
