Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

About the Position

This position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will work night shifts, consisting of four 12-hour shifts per week. The unit focuses on maintaining optimal nurse-to-patient ratios while providing flexibility in staffing as needed.

Shift Details

Shift: 4x12 hours, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Ratios: Normal staffing supports a 1:6 ratio; may flex to 1:7 in unplanned absences
Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend

Floating and Accommodations

Travelers may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between similar units.
Approval for block schedules can be requested but is not guaranteed.
Local candidates are not accepted for this position.

Qualifications

Years of Experience: Prefer at least 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical setting
License: South Carolina license or compact license must be obtained prior to start
Certifications Required: BLS
Certifications Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS
Special Requirements: Experience with Epic electronic health record system is essential

Facility has a total of 34 staffed beds.
Free parking is available for all staff.
During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams; consideration of this is advised prior to confirming any assignments during this period.
