Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This position involves filling staffing vacancies with a focus on providing high-quality patient care during day shifts.

Position Information

  • Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Specialty: Medical Telemetry, Intermediate Care
  • Number of Openings: Multiple
  • Shift: Day
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
  • Weekend Hours: 36 hours, every other weekend required
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Years of Experience: Minimum 1-2 years
  • Floating Requirements: Required to float to other units as necessary

Education & Certifications Required

  • Mandatory Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Mandatory Education: Completion of onboarding education

Unit Information

  • Number of Beds: 43
  • Patient Ratios: Day shift 1:4-5, Night shift 1:5-6, IMC 3:1
  • Equipment Used: Ventilators, BIPAP, CPAP, IV pumps, PCA pumps, specialty beds, tracheostomy care equipment, and more.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic

Hiring Profile

  • Required Skills/Experience: Experience with ventilators, tracheostomies, and telemetry strip interpretation.
  • Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience in medical telemetry and intermediate care.
  • Patient Population: Includes respiratory patients, medical telemetry patients, surgical cases, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, respiratory failure, and various acute/chronic medical conditions.
  • Personality Fit: Strong teamwork, flexibility, effective communication, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
