Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Telemetry – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts between 0700-2330 (primary shift 0700-1930), day and evening rotation, every other weekend and holidays as needed

  • Fast-paced environment caring for adults and geriatric patients with complex medical diagnoses including infectious diseases and special pathogens
  • EPIC charting system with 20 hours of orientation provided
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
  • Float to similar units as needed; professional development in a teaching hospital environment
  • Daily census of 28-29 patients with robust teamwork and collaborative care model

Requirements:

  • Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
  • Minimum of two years acute care experience within the last three years
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience required
  • BLS certification (AHA only) required
  • Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall score)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must reside 50+ miles from the facility
