Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical/Telemetry. The role requires providing comprehensive care to patients in a fast-paced environment focused on quality and safety.

Shift Notes

  • Three 12-hour night shifts per week.
  • 36 or 48-hour guaranteed weekly hours.
  • Every other weekend and holidays required as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver quality patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions and report significant changes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
  • Float to any Medical Surgical unit as needed.
  • Participate in patient education and ensure comfort.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required.
  • Experience with post-operative patients is mandatory.
  • Must have experience in orthopedic nursing.
  • Telemetry experience is required.
  • Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course is strongly recommended.
  • Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be current at the time of application.
  • Candidates must possess their own vehicle to commute for this assignment.
  • A permanent address must be included with the application.

Dress Code

Personal scrubs of any color are permitted.

Orientation

8 hours of non-billable orientation will be provided.

Additional Information

All requests for time off (RTO) must be included with the application submission. The facility will not consider requests made after submission or during the interview process.
