• Float Requirement: Yes, within competencies and to like units as needed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; New York State RN license preferred prior to start
• At least 1 year of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience required; 2 years preferred for strongest consideration
• BLS certification required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced telemetry environment
• Comfort with floating to similar nursing units within scope and competency
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry, assess patient status, and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Support patients with advanced pulmonary and respiratory needs, including pneumonia and COPD
• Administer medications, infusions, and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, and start IVs as needed
• Manage trachs, BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen weaning, and nebulizer-to-inhaler transitions
• Coordinate patient transports and assist with ICU transfers when necessary
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure efficient, compassionate patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards and compliance expectations
