Description:
The clinical team will conduct interviews and, if chosen, an offer will be extended.
This unit has a total of 96 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6.
RNs on this unit are required to titrate drips.
Commonly titratable drips include Heparin.
Charge nurses and house supervisors are present.
There are nurse aides available on this unit with a ratio of 1:8-16.
All beds are telemetry capable, and monitoring technology is utilized.
Monitor techs assist RNs, who validate, read, and document on strips.
Shifts are 12 hours, with weekend requirements based on unit needs.
Holiday requirements include working 2 out of 3 major holidays.
There is no call or standby requirement, but RNs may be floated as needed.
Scrub color is navy for tops and bottoms.
Unit-specific orientation will be coordinated with the onboarding process.
This role requires a commitment to providing quality care in an acute setting.
