Description:
Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of assignment.
Passing this test is mandatory to work on the telemetry/med surg unit.
Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry patient populations.
Estimated work week is 36 hours.
Traveler may occasionally be required to float to other campuses.
While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may be placed on call during periods of low census.
If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.
Med/Surg ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
Every other weekend rotation is required.
Traveler responsible for self-studying telemetry strips and passing the basic dysrhythmia test.
