**Essential Functions:**
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
- Deliver patient care aligned with established standards and protocols.
- Foster patient dignity and positive self-regard throughout the care process.
- Educate patients and families based on individual learning needs and readiness.
- Collaborate on discharge planning by integrating community resources and support systems.
- Delegate and supervise nursing tasks effectively.
- Prioritize patient care while identifying the need for emergency intervention.
- Document care activities accurately and promptly per established standards.
- Share thorough reports with health care team members to ensure seamless care integration.
- Promote professional growth through mentorship and active participation in development programs.
- Identify safety risks and reduce medical/healthcare errors through thoughtful reporting.
- Address ethical issues in patient care proactively.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapy with precision.
- Assess and manage pain levels for optimal patient comfort.
- Troubleshoot medical equipment and ensure proper function for surgical patients.
**Functional Demands:**
- Lift 20 to 50 pounds occasionally; handle and grip objects with hands frequently.
- Engage in tasks that may involve bending and kneeling.

**Job Requirements:**
- Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum Work Experience: 1 year of Med/Surg experience preferred; experience in Telemetry and Pediatrics is a plus.
- Minimum Licenses and Certifications:
- Current MA RN license.
- ACLS upon hire OR an active BLS card and obtain AHA ACLS within 60 days of hire.
- PALS preferred.

**Shift Information:**
- 40-hour evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including every other weekend.
