Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry nurses are needed for a facility in a night shift setting. This position involves caring for surgical and medical patients with specialized nursing needs, including advanced pulmonary conditions such as pneumonia and COPD. The role requires flexibility in floating within similar units and adhering to the facilitys scheduling policies. Responsibilities include administering IV therapies, managing ventilators, and providing comprehensive patient care.

Job Details:

• Location: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; valid New York State nursing license; current Nursys verification within 6 months; minimum of two years experience in the specialty area or at least one year with manager screening approval; no block scheduling; RTO (Return to Office) of 4 days or less; no holiday RTO; valid certification in specialty if applicable; prior travel experience preferred but not required; orientation scheduled for 10/26.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: This 32-bed unit primarily handles surgical and medical patients with pulmonary diseases requiring specialized nursing skills such as management of ventilators, IV infusions, and tracheostomies. Nurses will assist with transports, oxygen weaning, and other critical care procedures, and will be scheduled based on the unit's needs. No self-scheduling is permitted.
