# Job Opportunity – Medical Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day and night shifts available; staffing ratios goal of 1:4 (may flex to 1:5); weekend coverage varies based on unit needs; floating required to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units

Highlights
  • Comprehensive oncology care supporting patients with solid tumor cancers throughout their entire cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care
  • Common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, plus chemotherapy administration

  • Strong interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
  • 72-hour orientation provided; telemetry monitoring and interpretation required
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required; acute care med-surg background is essential
Requirements
  • Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience (must be current and consistent within the last 12 months)
  • BLS certification required
  • ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
  • Epic charting experience required

  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Two professional references required (at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
