Ratios: 1:5-6 for Days and weekends, 1:6 for Nights

Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes. Will float to all Medical units, renal, oncology, and neuro
- Float process: If we pre-assign the worker to a particular unit for any part of their contract with us, it will be communicated to the worker along with the timeframe for the pre-assignment.
- Workers that remain in our float pool are asked to call in to a recorded line up to 1 hour before the scheduled shift start time, to receive their unit assignment for that shift.

- RTO:
- Max of 7 days of RTO (7+ days requires manager approval, along with any holiday RTO). ALL RTO MUST BE FINALIZED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION
- No new RTO after submission. NO ADDITIONAL RTO OR SCHEDULE REQUESTS CAN BE REQUESTED POST SUBMISSION, POST OFFER OR POST START/ONSITE
- No RTO allowed the first week of an assignment.
- License Information:
- MO: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state).
- IL: License in hand required at time of submittal.
- Compact: Must match permanent residence—otherwise submit for update + confirm ETA.
- Radius/Local Rules:
- No local candidates accepted within 75 mile radius.
- No local travelers allowed, except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants.
- Tenure Policy / Returning Staff and Tenure Policy (excluding Interim Leadership and RNFA roles):
- 18 months with a 3-month break in service required.
- Permanent employees (across BJC and/or Saint Lukes) must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler.
- Floating:
- All travelers will float within service line.
- Contract Details:
- Confirm shift in submittal (e.g., 3x12, 4x12, etc.).
- Please note, contract length is firm.
- Booking Rules:
- BJC does not permit contractors to sign a contract and subsequently cancel it in order to accept another BJC assignment. Contractors are expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different BJC assignment are not allowed. If a contract is canceled at the contractor’s discretion, they must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity.
Compliance Deadlines/Requirements:
- Compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday of the week before initial start date.
- Fit testing: *Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions
- Certifications:
- For Barnes-Jewish Hospital location only: ACLS Required
- All RNs (except Behavioral Health, Case Manager & Outpatient) are required to obtain ACLS by compliance hard document deadline. Certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted in the job description.
- Labs: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing
- Modules:
- Modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr.
- Modules are completed pre-start, they are required for RNs and LVS and do not differ per specialty
- Modules are completed through WorkRamp and uploaded to compliance report
- Modules should be started within 1 week of signed contract, and MUST be completed 2 Fridays prior to the start date to avoid a delay in starting
