Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, including continuous patient assessment and intervention. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to establish and evaluate goals for patient care while ensuring that all patients' needs are met. This position entails leadership responsibilities and includes directing support staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Regularly assess patients' needs and deliver skilled nursing services as per the physician's authorized plan of care and established nursing practices (40%).
• Direct Patient Care: Administer medication, provide treatments, educate patients, assist with transfers, respond to alarms, and fulfill other relevant duties (30%).
• Evaluation of Treatment Plan: Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with team members to update or revise plans as necessary to enhance patient care (20%).
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure knowledge and adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility-specific policies and procedures relating to patient care (10%).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Med-Surg experience.
• Pediatric experience.
• Epic experience is highly preferred.
• Must have an active Michigan (MI) nursing license.
• Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from the American Heart Association.

Work Schedule

This position requires 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour guarantee. Weekend work will be required every other weekend, and there are no on-call duties.
