Job Summary
Medical Surgical With Telemetry Sioux City. This position provides professional and clinical care to postoperative patients on a general medical-surgical unit. The role supports interdisciplinary care delivery and may require floating within the same discipline across local campuses.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend; no call.
- Assignment Dates: 11/23/202602/22/2027.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience.
- Active Iowa or compact nursing license.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; American Heart Association (AHA) certification preferred. American Red Cross or U.S. military certificates will also be accepted.
- Active National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Additional Information: The unit cares for postoperative patients requiring overnight stays, including patients recovering from prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgery, and thyroidectomy procedures. Heparin may be administered. Navy blue dress code required. Two of three designated winter holidays may be required.
