- Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and major holidays required
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience required
- Minimum 1 year of recent travel RN experience required
- Current Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to pass an EKG exam at orientation
- Phlebotomy skills required
- Experience with BiPAP, CPAP, trachs, chest tubes, and tube feeds preferred
- CAPD experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a mixed Med/Surg Telemetry environment
- Complete comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, physician orders, and unit protocols
- Monitor telemetry, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Support patients receiving pre/post hemodialysis care and CAPD treatment
- Care for patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomy care, chest tubes, and tube feeding support
- Collaborate with CNAs, interdisciplinary team members, and support staff to coordinate efficient patient care
- Document nursing care accurately while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety, comfort, and dignity
- Float to other Med/Surg Tele units as needed based on facility needs
