MST Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool | ED Holds & Medical-Surgical Telemetry | Trenton, New Jersey

Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a 12-week local contract nursing job in Trenton, NJ 08638 supporting Float Pool coverage, ED Holds, and medical-surgical telemetry patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2020-$2130
• Location: Trenton, New Jersey
• Healthcare Setting: Float Pool, ED Holds, and MST units
• Start Date: 10/20/2026
• Contract Length: 12-week local contract
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent MST nursing or medical-surgical telemetry experience required
• Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIH certification required
• Flu vaccine is required and no declinations are accepted
• Ability to float between RMC and Hopewell campuses and go to any MST unit or ED Holds as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills in a dynamic acute care environment
• Any RN who calls off a scheduled shift must make up the missed shift within the same week
• Overtime to accommodate make-up shifts is not permitted
• If a missed shift cannot be made up within the same week, the assignment end date will be extended to include the missed shift(s)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in ED Holds and MST units
• Float between RMC and Hopewell campuses and support any MST unit or ED Holds based on patient care needs
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status accurately and efficiently in Cerner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, effective patient care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with clinical standards
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain compliance with unit protocols, documentation standards, scheduling expectations, and missed-shift make-up requirements
