Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical Specialty Unit.
The shift is 3 nights per week from 18:45 to 07:15.
The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5.
One year of experience in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting is required.
First-time travelers are accepted.
The role requires 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week scheduling period, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Required certifications include Basic Life Support and NIH Stroke Scale.
Candidates must possess skills in telemetry, telemetry monitoring, and titration of cardiac drips.
Floating between departments and units may be required as needed.
Holiday shifts and charge nurse assignments may be required as needed.
The facility is a community hospital with a total of 240 staffed beds.
Daily census averages around 30 patients.
Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.
Common diagnoses include gall bladder surgery, appendicitis, hysterectomy, chest pain, nausea/vomiting, sepsis, and heart failure.
Staff members include interdisciplinary support teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.
