Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) in a non-profit community hospital located in a versatile setting. This role involves caring for adult post-surgical patients with diverse medical conditions including strokes, oncology, respiratory issues, and ortho cases. The position offers flexible shift options and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment requiring adaptability and clinical proficiency.

Job Details:

• Shift Time: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with a schedule of every other weekend rotation.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Must pass telephonic exam during compliance. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Skills Required: General MedSurg skills such as chest tubes, tracheostomies, PICC/midline/central lines (for RN staff, including collection from central lines), Foley catheters, nasogastric tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, ostomies, and telemetry monitoring. Prior peds and psychiatric experience preferred but not required.
• Patient Types: Adults, with experience with pediatric patients considered for utilization as needed. Patients include post-surgical, stroke, oncology, congestive heart failure, COPD, respiratory, gastrointestinal, ortho (total joints), COVID, and occasionally total care assignments (may involve acting as a CNA).
• EMR: Epic.
• Float: Float rotation may be required across 2 East and West Wings, 3 East and West Wings, 5th floor, and Emergency Room for MedSurg holds.
• Additional Information: The assignment is scheduled from 10/19/2026 through 01/16/2027, in a facility with 226 beds, serving a diverse adult patient population in a community hospital setting.
