Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two years of acute care experience within the last three years License: Registered Nurse license (state or compact) required Certifications: BLS required (AHA only) Must-Have: Traveler must pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. EPIC experience required. Description: This position involves day and night shifts with a rotation every other weekend and holidays as needed. The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centered care. The role is in a fast-paced medical unit offering challenging and rewarding nursing opportunities. Nurses will care for patients with complex medical diagnoses in a 28-bed acute care unit. The unit focuses on high-quality patient care and medical education. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics with a daily census of 28 to 29 patients. The Registered Nurse will be required to manage IV insulin protocols and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Nurses will also be responsible for blood product administration and central line care/management. This role requires management of dysrhythmias and proficiency in telemetry.
