Work on a 41-bed hematology, oncology, stem cell transplant, and palliative care inpatient unit. Care for acutely ill patients undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplant therapies. Provide care for patients with complex disease processes, including leukemia and lymphoma. Administer chemotherapy and assist with stem cell transplant procedures. Perform head-to-toe assessments for patients and administer blood products. Be involved in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. Float to other units as needed. Handle special equipment as required. Ensure strict adherence to safety and clinical protocols.
