Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Neuro MS/T required License: RN license required Certifications: BLS required - AHA only Must-Have: Epic experience required Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Description: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, Monday through Friday. Weekend rotation and holidays as needed. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Neuro MS/T. Epic experience is required. An RN license and BLS certification are mandatory for this position. The traveler is required to pass a Telemetry test before starting the assignment. Join a fast-paced neuro specialty inpatient unit that offers an opportunity to advance your nursing skills utilizing evidence-based practice. Become part of a collaborative team that encourages and supports one another to succeed. Work with a variety of both medical and surgical neuro patients on this 25-bed unit. Post-surgical cases may include spine surgeries, brain tumors, and craniotomies. This unit provides care for patients with neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, ALS, and Guillain-Barre syndrome. You will also engage with trauma and orthopedic patients with multiple injuries or spinal fractures. Help provide high-level diagnosis and treatment options for patients. Provide patient and family-centered care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. The team includes nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, advanced practice providers, and medical personnel. This unit values high-quality, evidence-based care and a supportive work environment. All travelers must be prepared to float as needed. There is a requirement for two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty. A telemetry exam will be required prior to starting the assignment. The exam must be passed within two attempts. The criteria for passing includes 100% identification of lethal rhythms. A passing score of 80% or higher is mandatory. Travelers not meeting the criteria after three attempts will not continue with the assignment.
