The role includes patient care for individuals receiving treatment for various cancers, including chemotherapy administration. Continuous cardiac monitoring is required for patients undergoing such treatments. Symptom management related to disease progression or treatment is also a focus. Management of comorbidities and adherence to infection prevention protocols is essential. Experience with specific equipment such as telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, and Alaris pumps is necessary. Candidates should have the skills to interpret dysrhythmias, manage central and peripheral lines, and administer blood products.
