Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.
50 mile radius rule - ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF CANDIDATE'S UNEXPIRED DRIVER'S LICENSE.
LICENSING HITS MUST BE DISCLOSED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION.
# of beds: 30.
Ratios: 1:6/7 *Ratio will get up to 1:7, RN must be ok with this.*.
Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS.
Common diagnoses/types of patients: CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI.
Charge Nurse? One charge RN on the floor, with assignment.
Are there nurse aides on this unit: Yes, PCTs on the unit.
Are RNs required to Titrate drips? heparin based on aptt results.
RT equipment (vents, cpap, bipap, etc): No vent, intermittent BIPAP.
Is there tele on this unit? Yes, watched remotely by monitor techs.
Shifts and Scheduling: transitioning to Qgenda.
Weekends and Holidays: Scheduled as needed, usually 1/2 the total weekends.
Is there a standby or call requirement? No.
Floating Requirements: As needed based on census, external traveler first to float.
Scrub Color: Navy Blue.
