Shifts will be rotating on various days of the week. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend shifts may be required based on unit needs. Candidates must be comfortable with flexible staffing ratios. This is a highly acute care surgical unit specializing in the care of solid organ transplant, thoracic surgery, and hepatology patient populations. The unit prides itself on providing exceptional care for patients undergoing kidney, liver, pancreas, and lung transplants. Patients may be staffed in a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio during their most acute phases of recovery, while all other patients will be staffed at a 4:5:1 ratio. This specialty unit collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver the highest standard of care. Candidates should have experience working with various high-acuity surgical patients. The team is dedicated to supporting patients and families throughout their transplant journey. If you are passionate about caring for high-acuity surgical patients, we encourage you to apply.
