Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical-Surgical – Iowa
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; every other weekend and every other holiday required
Highlights:
- Multi-specialty medical-surgical experience across diverse patient populations including orthopedics, neurology step-down, oncology, and surgical telemetry
- Float pool position providing exposure to varied clinical settings and skill development opportunities
- Floating required to multiple med-surg units within the facility and to a campus location approximately 9.5 miles away
- 24-hour needs-based orientation requirement waived for qualified candidates
- Night shift schedule with structured weekend and holiday rotation
- Long-term contract opportunity starting November 2026
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state license
- Medical-surgical nursing experience strongly preferred
- Ability and willingness to float across multiple specialties including orthopedics, neurology, oncology, and telemetry units
- Flexibility to work at multiple campus locations within the metro area
- Current BLS certification required
