First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.
POSITION: RN – Med Surg/Telemetry
Location: Des Moines, IA
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 12-Hour Nights
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Schedule: 3x12s | Every 3rd Weekend
PAY PACKAGE – 36 HOURS
• Weekly Gross: $2,241/week
• W2 Pay: $23/Hour
• Weekly Stipend: $1,413/week
• Overtime: $34.50/Hour
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 24 months of Med Surg/Med Surg Tele experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel contract within the previous 18 months
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Experience caring for all types of Med Surg patients required
• EPIC experience required
• Heparin experience required
• Telemetry/cardiac experience highly preferred
• Recent Charge or Preceptor experience required
• AHA/ARC BLS required
• Active Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate license required at submission
• Current skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Med Surg Tele required
• Driver's license required at submission
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
• Travel only — no locals; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Must float across all campuses within the contracted skillset, including Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital & Methodist West Hospital
• No call required
• Holiday rotation required; contractor may be required to work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming holidays unless the unit is closed
• EPIC EMR
• Patient ratio: 4–5:1
• 15-bed unit
• Heparin drips
• Remote telemetry monitoring
• Navy blue solid scrubs
• NBO: 16 hours
• OT/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier
• Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2-hour minimum
• On-Call: $9/hour
• Charge/Precept: $6/hour
