Description:
RNs will need to demonstrate mandatory competency in phlebotomy and placing IVs, as these are required skills for this role.
BLS certification is required.
Experience with medical-surgical and telemetry nursing is necessary.
Candidates must be proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
Knowledge in using rapid response teams is essential.
Experience with peripheral line care and management is required.
Candidates must be familiar with respiratory care, including the use of nasal cannulas and oxygen face masks.
Experience in providing non-invasive airway management is necessary.
Understanding and implementation of isolation precautions is required.
Candidates will be responsible for managing patients with cardiovascular issues and wounds.
The nurse-patient ratio on days and evenings is expected to be 5 to 1, stretching to 6 or 7 in certain situations.
At night, the ratio is typically 6 to 7, potentially stretching to 8 to 10 if staff calls in sick.
The facility utilizes a rapid response team for acute patient needs.
All nurses will be required to float as necessary.
Experience with computerized documentation, specifically using Epic, is preferred.
Candidates must be prepared to manage a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics.
Special equipment that may be used includes Hoyer lifts and wound vacs.
